I've had a few of these in the past and they've been a life saver on long trips. They just stopped working after a while, but I benefited a lot from them. There's a reason some people have had trouble burning holes in their clothing and seats; They are not meant for sitting. The wiring is fragile and will break under the weight of our body. If you look at all the ads for these heating pads, they are used on the knees. I really need a spare heating pad but I won't risk it. And nobody makes a heating pad that connects to a lighter that you can sit on. It's time for heated driver's seats
