Review on ๐Ÿ’ป High-Speed USB C and USB to Ethernet Adapter | 2-in-1 | Compatible with USB C/Thunderbolt 3 or USB 3.0 | USB-C to RJ45 2.5 Gigabit LAN for Mac and Windows by Jose Guzman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works but stalls after overheating.

Works but slows down after overheating. Runs at almost a full 2.5 Gbps for a few minutes. It gets hot after 4-5 minutes but works all day. The maximum speed I could squeeze out for about 5 minutes was 2.3 Gbps, but then dropped to about 1.3 Gbps. After it's had time to cool down, if you set the maximum connection again, it'll run at 2.3Gbps, but will slow down again when it gets too hot. For most nerds, this works great for quick file transfers. Note, however, that the speed will drop to around 1.3 Gbps after a few minutes. So far I've tested about 3 USB 2.5Gbps ports and it's the only one that doesn't fail after long time use. I prefer to limit its speed than to fail completely and leave my 1Gbps computer port to default. .

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

It works flawlessly, but so do competing models at half the price
