Review on Circuit Blade Style Profile FUSETAP by David Caldwell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Summary - this is a great device if you want to quickly add a DC.

This is an overview of the Lumision locking tap set. Summary - This is a great device if you want to quickly connect a DC accessory to an available mini fuse port in your car. My car has DC outlets that are always on. I wanted to add a DC power outlet that would only turn on when my car was powered on for the dashcam. I ended up using the fuse for the heated seats as that fuse was only on when the car was on and it wasn't used as my car doesn't have that feature. I use it with a SMAKN® 12V 5A car cigarette lighter plug adapter to make me an extra socket for my camera. This safety tap looks well made. It has a fuse to protect the line that feeds the fuse tap and a secondary fuse that matches the device you connect it to. The fuse you install closest to the metal post is the mains fuse, and the fuse slot that aligns with the red wire is the one where you put the fuse that matches the device you're using. To use, simply install two fuses that match the required ratings, crimp or cut the end to solder your device's positive lead to this freestanding red power wire, and connect the fuse. If you ask me, it couldn't be easier. Your device should be aimed at a solid base of your vehicle, e.g. B. a metal frame. It was also nice that they included a couple of fuses so it wasn't an additional purchase. Fuse sizes included: 5, 7.5, 10, 15 and 20 amps. I am very happy with it and it works exactly as I need it to. As with all of my reviews, I will update this review if I encounter any issues with this item with continued use.
