The problem lies in the cable itself, says Pyle Pro High Performance 12GA Cable. 12GA cable, do not wire as instructed (12 AWG). It would be nice if they corrected their description so that it is not misleading. They shouldn't have 12 AWG in the description because when you get the cord it doesn't say anywhere on the spool or cord. The spool the wire is wound on is only 4 3/4 inches in diameter and 3 3/4 inches high, and you have 100 feet of wire. I don't think you can fit 100 feet of 12 AWG speaker wire on a spool that small. It's more like 16 AWG with a 12 GA sheath. I only gave it 2 stars because I wanted 12 AWG speaker wire. If you're looking for 16 AWG flat speaker wire, you can pull the two wires apart if you start cutting the middle of the wire. then it is a good cable. If you are looking for 12AWG speaker wire, DO NOT BUY THIS!
