Exactly what I needed! Lightweight, reusable wipes, perfectly clean.

Failed to load media. For years I have used a branded mop that uses proprietary disposable pads and cleaning solution bottles. And batteries. So many batteries. With the last set of batteries dying and new ones unable to revive this mop, it seemed like a good time to try something different. Glorider meets these requirements. There are so many good things to say about this mop. It doesn't use batteries. The handle has a trigger that sprays the solution onto the ground from an easily refillable bottle. I've found that tilting the squeegee up slightly brings the stream closer to the head of the squeegee, and tilting the squeegee down causes the spray to be wider and wider. It doesn't require a hard pull on the trigger. I washed the whole kitchen and hallway, and my hand never tired of pulling the trigger. The mop comes with 2 washable, double-sided mop heads. I tried this the first time, using the fluffier (chenille) side to wet clean my tile floor because I have grout between my tiles that may need extra cleaning. I was a little concerned that the fluffy side would need a lot of solution to soak the pad, but it wasn't necessary. No bucket of dirty water, hooray. Even after using quite a bit of solution...and washing the whole kitchen and hallway...the pad wasn't even close to being saturated and it cleaned perfectly. I think saturation would be a mistake. I think if I got the pillow wet the dirty water would just splash all over the floor and it would take forever to dry. The mopping pad has a Velcro closure so it's easy to put on and take off. After the first use, I washed my first pad in the washing machine on a gentle cycle and hung it up to dry. The refillable bottle is a big plus. This bottle is smaller than the one that came with my previous mop making it easier to use the whole mop. It has an easy to remove screw top and a nice big hole to pour water/detergent in. The instructions that come with the package say to fill it with water, but the website says 'any cleaning solution'. So I used the slightly soapy floor solution that came with my previous mop. This was a major downside... the downward spray resulted in air returning into the bottle as I sprayed. This caused bubbles and foam in the bottle. It still worked, but I might just try the vinegar and water solution instead of the soap solution next time. I washed the bottle thoroughly after use. The handle fits me very well. As I mentioned earlier, the spray trigger worked great and didn't require too much pressure. About 1/3 of the way down there is a rubber grip where I can rest my hand without pulling the trigger, but I'm quite small so I wasn't always comfortable. It would be nice if I could move it up and down the pole to accommodate different heights. The rotating part of the head worked perfectly. It's a wide mop head and I have to get into a few tight spots...it was easy to just flip it over without bending down. I have mixed feelings about the retractable flexible arm. When I first tried it it wasn't as flexible as I thought...but then after using it I realized that it had to be firm to give me good cleaning power. However, it hasn't really given me more extension among things than just using a mop on the side. After all, this is a really wide mop head. All in all I look forward to using it. A lot of. With a smaller bottle and no batteries, it's lighter and a lot easier on my back. I will experiment with different sides of the mop head and different cleaning solutions to see what works best for me and appreciate the flexibility of doing so. I also usually use a broom to pre-sweep the floor before mopping, but I think this dry-used mop would work just as well. The time will show.
