Works as described in Network Adapter

I have always wanted the best mechanism to control the many automation devices in my home and wall mounted control panels have always seemed the ideal setup; Unfortunately, most of them are bad or don't integrate as well into my Vera-based setup as the iPad smartphone apps do. So I figured I'd mount an iPad on the wall and use these fixed home automation controllers, but the obvious problem is how do you power these panels? Unplugging to charge, which would have been a lot since I had my devices on all the time, wasn't possible. In search of Revain I was able to use a splitter with this POe and knew this was the answer. Cat6e is so easy to run in the walls and I already have a POe network switch, that was my answer. It works great, I've never had a voltage drop and the iPad has never stopped charging assuming they don't charge fast in that setting, but the small amount of voltage going through the ethernet is more than enough to charge them to 100% to keep. If you need a solution to charge your USB device remotely, look no further, this is the one for you.
