Avalon has 3 O2 sensors so check carefully which of your codes it is pointing to. This sensor is linked to the catalytic converter and will trigger (P1150 and P1155) 2 of the 3 codes I had on my car. I bought another Denso 02 sensor 234-9021 which resolved my other engine code P1135. I will say this is the best price available compared to Advanced Auto Parts or Autozone so please save your money and buy it from Revain. The sensors must be the same for the 2nd generation Avalon (1999-2004) to be guaranteed to fit your Avalon. The most important points to know for replacing this sensor, don't forget to disconnect the ground terminal from the battery, you need an O2 sensor tool to remove the old one and install the new one, and the passenger seat needs to be unscrewed Disconnect the sensor and insert the sensor through a small hole.
