SAVE BIG MONEY AND BUY DENSO BRAND FOR TOYOTAS NOT OTHER BRANDS

DO NOT USE BOSCH 02 SENSORS WITH TOYOTA. When my engine light came on and the code 02 sensors read, I did just that. I immediately experienced engine hesitation followed by possible engine stalling. When I replaced the Bosch sensors with OEM Denso 02 sensors, the car ran like new. Two individual auto mechanics, as well as several Revain reviewers, said basically the same thing (which I learned after using Bosch). If you ask most car dealers about it, they will say that Bosch is a great match…

Removed Engine Codes P1150 & P1155

Avalon has 3 O2 sensors so check carefully which of your codes it is pointing to. This sensor is linked to the catalytic converter and will trigger (P1150 and P1155) 2 of the 3 codes I had on my car. I bought another Denso 02 sensor 234-9021 which resolved my other engine code P1135. I will say this is the best price available compared to Advanced Auto Parts or Autozone so please save your money and buy it from Revain. The sensors must be the same for the 2nd generation Avalon (1999-2004) to be

After replacing the oxygen sensors, check if the engine light is off.

I have replaced the upper and lower oxygen sensors. Removing the factory bottom O2 sensor was difficult at 150,000 miles. I did this using a liquid wrench (atomizer), a broken rod, an O2 sensor port and a corolla weight to break it. Just above the rear oxygen sensor, I tape wooden blocks between the exhaust pipe and the bottom of the car to keep the exhaust pipe from moving. With the car on the ground, I use a jack on the end of the switch handle and just keep jacking it up until I hear a…

2000 Avalon exit sensor

Denso 234-4061 is the bottom sensor for my Avalon. It was installed on the exhaust pipe just under the passenger seat and solved my check engine light problem. The electrical connection is located inside under the passenger seat and this part has the exact electrical connection that fits Toyota. Some cheaper ones will require you to cut and splice the wires. The seat is removed with 4 screws. Just tilt it back to get it out of the way. Then you need to remove the floor carpet in the cabin. The…
