Review on Rainbow High Playset 400 Combinations Accessories by Johnny Pigao

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Attention buyers: NINE silhouettes! The picture makes her look real!

Be sure to look at EVERY picture you can find before buying. Because in the manufacturer's photo, this item looks much more valuable than it really is, and some photos of the participants show the real situation. There are nine items that cannot be carried and are instead cut out of paper. Please see my attached picture which shows the bottom rows of shoes are half fake half real. A pink purse in the background, three pairs of shoes in the back, three of the nine pairs of shoes in the front, and a pair of stud earrings and stars are all fake - all silhouettes. 31+ pcs. Of these 31 items you will receive: six pairs of shoes (instead of 12 as shown in the picture), ten clothes, a handbag (instead of the suggested 2) and a pair of earrings (instead of the suggested 3). ). . That's 25 "wearable" items instead of the "31+ fashion items" the box suggests. I'm really surprised they didn't increase the item count even further by stating that ten hangers are "items". Our hanger started to lag behind the bottom of the box on one side, but unfortunately that's normal for this series. Luckily, the fake gold "clips" on the outside of the chest are firmly attached, unlike other Rainbow School examples (like the two Laurel and Holly packages where the gold clips were torn off in transit). The clothes are good but not perfect, but there are small imperfections in the shape and paintwork of the shoes. The case seems to be in order, the hinges are well made. It is difficult to give a real review of this product. The look on my toddler's face when she found out that half of the expected pairs of shoes were actually paper made it a negative experience rather than a positive reward. If your child knows they only get 10 pieces of clothing and 6 shoes it might be worth more than the two stars I give them but the packaging is manipulative and disrespectful. If we saw this on a shelf at Target (like most Rainbow High stuff we've bought), we'd leave it there. No Rainbow High item we've seen has used paper cutouts like this. To their credit, the individual images show specific clothing items, but the first image definitely doesn't. The glitter around the pink purse and around the three front shoes looks real, especially for an excited child choosing a treat. Thanks MGM for upsetting my bunny girl. At least Revain dropped the price by a third (and now I know why). Buyers be careful.
