Nice curtain. Not sure about "room darkening" but I suppose that's subjective. They are certainly not blackout curtains but they do significantly block direct sunlight which is what I was looking for - my window faces west and I get strong hot sun through the window. I can still see light but the amount of heat radiating into the house from that window is minimal with this curtain.It looks nice but it's folded up tight when it arrives. I let it hang for a few days and it didn't look less wrinkled. Fortunately I have a steamer - problem solved. The alternative would be to lay it out on a carpet and iron it.
