Well as others describe here I am surprised that they are well made and work as well as they do. Bits are clean, cheap ones usually have worn paint and shanks. They look just like my more expensive Freuds. The carbide cutter is thick, has a clean, sharp edge, and did a good job of making some grooved moldings. I can't say anything about the durability of the blades. I haven't used them that much, but they "look" like they're well made and I bet they'll last a while. I'm pretty sure they're made in China, but the stock says 'Japan' at the top. These bits are at least best for those who use them occasionally and may prove to be good for long-term use. The time will show.
