This is the fourth dehumidifier I've tried using to keep the relative humidity in my bedroom, which also houses my (damn expensive) guitars, between 40-60% . The first, too small, too weak. The second is too loud. SERIOUS. TOO LOUD. The third, the same problem as the first, is too small to make a big impact. But this one is PERFECT. At low level it operates at 39dB (quiet whisper) and never needs to be set to medium or high. But FYI, mids are only 53dB, highs are a slightly annoying 59dB, but still well below the 67dB GE I got back. BTW, for reference, every 3dB is twice the RMS noise at 4 inches from the source, so 67dB is 9 times louder than 39dB! I can be sure that the RH will stay in the safe range for my instruments and let me sleep.
