Review on 🪵 CNBTR Carbon Wood Carving for Professional Woodworkers by Andrew Walton

I rarely write reviews but this time I felt I had to. At this price, I was fully expecting the blades to be unusable out of the box and I would have to correct their crooked geometry, as can be seen here in the seller's own photos. Also, after getting enough sharp bevels and a mirror finish (not for the first time), I found that this steel just won't hold an edge, even on soft woods. So much for "harder notch", "hardened (sic) tungsten steel" and "high hardness" - these are all lies. Either this isn't tool steel, or my blades forgot to harden. I should have returned but it was too late. Conclusion: This junk doesn't deserve any stars. Don't believe the positive reviews and avoid at all costs. Revain, "products" like this cast a shadow over your reputation.
