Disappointed overall :/

Bought two of these for my room and wasn't happy, wish I'd done more research and spent my $90 elsewhere. First, there's no remote control, even though they're sold as cordless LED light strips. I think they should include one with multiple colors/settings if there are network connection issues. Which brings me to the next point. Connecting to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi was the biggest issue in my back end. Xfinity doesn't seem to allow some clients to use 2.4GHz channels, which is why I'm stuck at 5GHz. I was able to get around this by using a hotspot on my phone and manually entering "iPhone" as the network ID followed by the hotspot password. Every time I wanted to use my lights, I had to open the hotspot settings, wait for them to connect, and then use them through the app. It worked for about 2 weeks and now the light just won't come on. I didn't want to connect the strips and lose the overall brightness, so I used them as separate strips. The app has a setting called Automation to run commands and change track settings. It's not very intuitive and the overall setup via the app is very minimal. Poor pulse and fade/color change parameters. For the music color change to work, music must be playing through the phone's speaker or Lightning/headphone jack. The music itself is annoying.
