I have had this DVR for about 5 months. 5 cameras with 250 GB (SSD) HD. All cameras recorded. After 2 months I noticed an overheating issue which caused the device to reboot from time to time. I could hear the loud charging beeps from all over the house. I put it off for a whole month and finally decided to thermal sync the Raspberry PI so I don't lose my investment. It didn't help, although the CPU temperature was significantly lower. One day I decided to move two cameras and ended up sitting on my desk for a week. During this time I noticed that the NVR would not reboot anymore!? Recording 5 streams does not help. It supports many channels, but using it as an NVR is probably not the best idea. Better suited as a spectator. Paging is very slow and the single view grid has serious latency issues. Is there a new firmware that fixes this?
