Review on Cajun Injector Deluxe Marinade Injector: Enhance Flavor with Precision by Moe Gilbert

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Thoughtful design and durability

I have used many injectors over the years and this is the only one I should reorder. We rarely use the injector as advertised (chicken, turkey, roast). When we cook a whole pig on a gas stove, we inject the meat while cooking. A pig's skin is very difficult to pierce and there is a risk of hitting the bone and breaking the needle in half or at the joint. This thick stainless steel needle injector holds up better than any I've tried. We cook our hogs Eastern North Carolina style and inject them with a vinegar-based sauce that has had crushed red pepper added, making it about the size of a pinhole, and the holes matter. Pepper seeds and shells get stuck and clog the opening of most other injectors. The Cajun injector needle has a very large opening with matching holes. Also, the tip is closed, so if you hit the bone, it won't clog with bone chips. My dad was turning 70 and I was worried they wouldn't get there on time, but they got here a few days ahead of the date Revane had planned. The party went great, the piglet was great, the injectors work and we're already looking forward to the next event.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
