Review on ๐Ÿ“ท Tamron 70-180mm F/2.8 Di III VXD Lens for Sony Full Frame/APS-C E-Mount, Black by Lorz Batan แ Œ

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

I use on the carcass A7m3. For a portrait both in the studio and in nature - the best option. It also showed itself well when shooting performances, etc. There are no downsides in these scenarios for me. Color rendition is excellent. And for shooting people, I like it better than Sony lenses. But the difference is subtle and subjective, that I see no point in writing about it. I like bokeh. Better than Tamron 28-75mm 2.8. And this is not only my subjective opinion. Before this lens, I used the Sony 70-200 GM. With picture quality at least as good as 70-200 GM, the Tamon is lighter, smaller and cheaper. I canโ€™t attribute the lack of buttons and a stabilizer to disadvantages, since I practically donโ€™t use buttons on lenses, and the stabilizer in the carcass was enough for me for my tasks. I did not feel the absence of 20mm at the long end. So if there are flaws, then for me they are so small that they are not at all noticeable against the background of advantages. Working with this lens is much more comfortable than with the 70-200 GM.

Pros
  • Image quality (sharpness, color, contrast, bokeh), weight, dimensions, autofocus.
Cons
  • Haven't found it yet.

Compared to the G master 70-200, I donโ€™t see a difference in image transmission (and if there is no difference, then why pay more), besides, it is 2 times lighter, compact and can be shot on a steadic (it doesnโ€™t hurt the motors, and the setup easier).
