Don't just rely on the instructions provided, google them if you run into any problems.
I'm not technically a beginner, but this is my first project since my 6th hit, so I think I'm suitable. The instructions are a bit complicated for some stitches. Google the names of the stitches you're having trouble with (I highly recommend a site called The Spruce - it's a general lifestyle blog, recipes, crafts, how-to articles and videos for just about anything), and if you do, all of them If you don't understand, choose an easier stitch that you understand.
