I've had this screen for about two weeks and am using it with my MacBook. When it worked the experience was great. The colors are rich, the resolution is amazing for the size and I love the 16 x 10 aspect ratio. I haven't measured the brightness, but it didn't feel like 500 nits, more like 300-400, but that was enough - I did lots of sun at home and the screen was bright enough for me to see everything clearly. The body that houses the screen is made of low-quality plastic, but for this price I can't really complain, especially since the next display that you can buy with similar parameters but of higher quality is the LG Gram + View . which reduces your budget by almost $200 more. Unfortunately I had to return this unit (and wait for a refund) as the screen started to flicker intermittently for the first few days and then after a week it wouldn't turn on more often than it would. It's a shame for the price, it's hard to find a better portable screen.
