I'm new to cross stitch but not new to Sew. The fabric I received was not basted properly, so the warp and weft threads were skewed to the left. While it softens (at least when using the "sewing method" for cross-stitch - I think less so when using the poke-and-paste method on the hoop) and again (square) to some degree by steaming and pressing can be blocked, it's not what I expected. If I were on a major project I would be appalled - your thread tension will never recover. In addition, the doubled warp/weft threads were not in line. If you need to make a 3/4 stitch, good luck. It arrived "rolled up" but in flimsy plastic packaging so it was mostly folded up. It worked great for my small project, but I wouldn't buy it again and warn anyone planning a big project to invest in something better.
