This is a great swimsuit for our son (age 8, 23" waist, 23-24" chest, 45lbs and 48" tall) - fits very well (we chose a size 6 based on the size chart) and the shirt is comfortable (not skin tight and not too big). We have removed the cut out tag. - It has been used 4 times on the beach and once in the backyard pool and has held up very well. - It washes and dries easily after each use.
