After purchasing four different types of oil filter wrenches for the thrust filter (which was MUCH over tightened on the last oil change) I figured I would have to go with the screwdriver method. Bought this one and regretted not having started with it first! If your filter has completely warped from previous attempts to remove it, this filter wrench should do the job - the strap fits the filter despite the dents and slots of other filter wrenches.
