Review on ๐ŸŒŠ Kerick Valve MA252 Float Adjustable: The Ultimate Solution for Precision Water Level Control by Anthony Jagers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect fit for my chicken waterer

Damaged to function as automatic waterer. It works great for stopping a spill and I love the adjustable lever to change the water level as needed. My original valve was missing a compression nut to keep 1/4 of the hose watertight so you can check for missing parts once you receive the valve. I control my faucet fill time with a digital water timer (Orbit 91213) so I can't confirm how the product performs in the long run at constant water pressure and it will likely depend on your input flow. water pressure. Our plumbing (where water enters the house) is set at 75psi (it was originally 50psi) and the float valve works really well to stop a water overflow when I tested it. I avoid leaving the water hose pressurized as I have lost some of our garden hoses that way (especially since we increased the pressure to 75psi to improve the shower) along with costly water wastage. Personally, I wouldn't risk such a failure, especially indoors. So check your psi and if possible use a timer or at least use a pressure regulator and/or partially open your faucet to reduce the water pressure. I use all three measures - pressure regulator, timer and float value. Better to be safe than sorry later.

Pros
  • Extended thread tank bracket on inlet side of valve for mounting through tank wall
