Review on ASUS DisplayPort Axial Tech Protective Backplate Computer Components by Adam Edison ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I definitely recommend buying, I didn't notice any disadvantages.

: made undervolting - reduced consumption from 220W to 150-160W. With max. graphics settings in Cyberpunk, with DLSS enabled, did not lose a single FPS (cutoff at 60), but removed 10 degrees of heat. From 70 to 60-62C. Of course, the speed of rotation of the coolers has decreased. I recommend to everyone to get confused, it's not difficult. - food: in the description it is indicated everywhere that 750W is needed, it works for me from a biquaet at 700W. Checked for several hours playing Cyberprank on ultras with ray tracing - no drawdowns or crashes - temperature: it heats up less than my previous palit 2060. But there is one thing: first I installed it in an old case with side perforations and poor ventilation, which kept the temperature of the new 3070 at idle around 47-50 degrees. It began to annoy me that the video card now and then turns on the cooler and I decided to upgrade the case. In the new case with two 140mm front coolers and competent cable management, the idle temperature dropped to 38-42 degrees. In Cyberpook at 2K on top settings with tracing, the temperature is about 68-70 degrees, which is less than my RTX 2060. I did not do any downvolting. The bios is in performance mode. I am attaching pictures of both cases. - FPS in games: do not forget that a lot depends on the game itself, its optimization of specific scenes. For example, in Cyberprank there are scenes that drop this 3070 to 25 fps. The new next-gen patch for The Witcher with tracing enabled does not even give 30 fps at all, although without tracing on Beyond+ in 2K, this card produces 120-150 fps. So fps is a conditional measure of performance. I bought this vidyuhi because I have a 2K monitor and it copes with what I wanted from it: the same Cyberprank keeps at 60fps 90% of the time with all the graphics settings sliders cut off - price: I say hello to everyone who bought it for 80-90-100k at the beginning of the year :) with all the cashbacks and points, it cost me 43k

Pros
  • - compact - cold (relatively, depending on what to compare with) - beautiful and feels premium - does not require support - does not sag - does not turn on the turntables if the temperature is below 50 gr. - everything from the games at the end of 2022 pulls in 2K at ultra-outrageous at stable 40-60 fps - powered by 700W PSU (be quiet!) - a nice laconic backlight strip, looks like Cyberpunk, but this is a matter of taste - cheap :-)
Cons
  • - after 3 months: I squealed a lot in games. Maybe my vidyuhi has problems, or maybe because of undervolting, but the squeak is very audible and it is at the slightest load. It's a pity, but I thought the perfect copy. - when I ran a stress test and the card was loaded at 100%, a low squeak was heard, probably chokes? I do not know, but it seems that all cards suffer from this. Haven't seen it in games under load yet. - terrible software for managing card settings, but this is the case with all hardware manufacturers
