Start with applying thin layers and wait until they cure. It’s wonderful stuff. Make sure whatever you’re applying it to is clean. I was using this on a cement - metal seam. I used a metal brush to clean the surfaces and alcohol to wipe the surfaces clean. The adhesion is fantastic, really strong and no water leak. Prep of surfaces is so key to making this work and thin layers over time.
