Better than any other child or pet gate I've ever had!

We have a very wide opening through the foyer and living room. With a puppy it was difficult to find a gate that was wide and high enough. The accordion-like style couldn't stand up to an energetic pup, and the plastic ones were too easy for her to climb over. This one was so easy to assemble! Sturdy + height and vertical metal bars prevent our growing pup from climbing over it. The cat door is easy to use. Love how the door opens both ways and the auto close feature! Also, I'm very glad there isn't a one-handed pedal (like some baby gates) because our dogs have always figured out how to pedal to open the gate.
