Mangles Corks: Kitchen & Dining

This is a machined chrome screw, not coiled wire. It has a large central shaft and ridge-like teeth. It breaks in the cork is not very elegant. The second photo shows a comparison between our vintage bunny style corkscrew and Ipow. You can barely see where the coiled wire enters the cork, but you can clearly see the breaks in the Ipow cork. We have had different types of corkscrews over the years and never one that has done this with corks. The Ipow tops are good and seem solid but due to their impact on cork I cannot recommend this unit.
