We have always used the corner basket in our kitchen sink for cleaning and trimming while cooking. We've used a plastic basket for years, but have found that cleaning is becoming increasingly difficult and leaves stains on the plastic. This stainless steel basket is a delight both by hand and in the dishwasher. It can even be used as a small colander. My only gripe is that while the sides are sturdy stainless steel, the bottom is thinner and flexes a bit for some reason. Only time will tell if the bottom finally gives up. With that caveat, we are very happy with this basket!
