doesn't hold the phone in place

The first thing that got me discouraged was that you really can't mount the phone horizontally. It cannot be tightened in any other vertical position. But there is a screw handle for tightening the phone's position down. No matter how hard you press it, it will vibrate freely. This is a terrible phone mount. Exchange immediately.
