Thermostat defective

In general, I like the fireplace, but the thermostat does not work. When the room temperature reaches the temperature set on the fireplace, the heating element does not turn off. You must manually change the heater setting to 00, which turns off the heater and fan. If the room temperature falls below the set temperature, it will not be heated again automatically. You must manually change the heat setting to LL or HH. In addition, the buttons on the remote control are labeled differently than the control panel of the device. UPDATE Turned out to be a bad block. The seller (Sunnydaze) promptly replaced the faulty unit after replying to my original review above. The replacement unit works as advertised. The thermostat works great. Excellent customer support! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone interested in an electric fireplace for extra space heating.

Electric insert: includes 1 stove, 5 screws and 1 remote control; This block is designed to be built into an existing firebox; Two people are required for installation; The remote control requires 2 AAA batteries (not included); It's perfect for any room in the house including the living room, office or bedroom.
