I'll start with a summary - I'm sending it back because they don't work with Bluetooth transmitters that use aptx LL to watch TV. What I like about them - They sound great. I listened to music and watched videos on my laptop, both wired and wireless. You sound really good. ANC is fine. Nothing fancy, but it does a good job of blocking out constant humming noises like a blower, vacuum, etc. But it doesn't compare to ANC in headphones like the Bose QC35 II or even the comparable price Sony H910N. But it's bearable. What I didn't like about them and why they come back -1. I bought them to watch TV without annoying everyone else in the house. My setup is very simple. I have an Avantree Audikast bluetooth transmitter that I use with cheap Avantree headphones, but I need something with better sound. and the videos are usually out of sync. The reason I bought these particular headphones is because they have a codec called AptX LL (Low Latency) that fixes the audio and video playback out of sync issue when using Bluetooth to watch TV. There are very few AptX LL ready headphones on the market right now so my choices were limited. But I know the Sennheiser name and since these glasses use AptX LL I decided to buy them. Avantree Audikast also uses AptX LL. The problem is that they connect to Avantree Audikast but there is no sound. I first used an older Audikast with BT 4 and figured that might be the problem, so I spent $60 on an Audikast Plus with BT 5.0. It arrived this morning and I set it up, tried it, same problem. Headphones are connected to it, but there is no sound. Audikast Plus even has its own volume control and I thought that might help as well, but it doesn't. I have confirmed this is not an issue with Audikast and Audikast Plus by trying two different Avantree headphones, both different models that also support AptX LL and both have worked great. I've also tried a Bose QC35II kit, a Sony kit and a cheap Jabra. They don't support AptX LL, but I connected and had no problems with the sound. But since they don't support AptX LL, of course I can't use them for watching TV. But I used them to make sure the problem wasn't with the Audikast modules. I think I narrowed it down to Sennheiser's Aptx LL implementation. So that's the main reason they come back. AptX LL just doesn't work. Other things I didn't like - they are very tight and the ear cutouts are too small so they pressed my ears against my head and they became uncomfortable after a few hours. the headband has almost no padding and is uncomfortable even after a while. Aside from not working at all when watching TV with a BT transmitter that uses Aptx LL, they are also inconvenient. Overall Sound = 4, ANC = 3, Comfort = 2, AptX LL Support = 0. Overall, I can't rate them higher than two stars.
