First, let me give you a little background. I lived in Fiji for 4 months and during that time I grated a lot of coconuts. I bought this coconut scraper while I was in the US to prepare an OCKA for a Samoan missionary.1. The metal is not strong enough. I bent this grated coconut after grating the 2nd coconut. I was able to finish grating the 7 coconuts I needed to grate, but just because I was very careful with the grater, I was lucky enough to notice that it was slightly bent after I finished the 2nd coconut. Trust me, if you know anything about grating coconuts, you don't need to be careful. You need to press hard on the grater to get the job done right.2. The grater comes with 3 screws about 1/4" long and the pilot holes on the grater are too small. You'll definitely need a 1" screw to attach this thing to a piece of wood, but enlarging the pilot holes is useless as the grater won't last long enough to permanently attach to a good piece of wood. The screws that come with this grater definitely don't fit. Anyone who has ever sold this grater has definitely never attached it to a piece of wood or grated a coconut!
