I loved these pans at first. I first saw them at a road show at Costco. Then I came home and found her on Revain. At first everything slipped at once. The food cooks evenly. You were amazing! The heat appears to open pores in the ceramic that trap fat from the meat or oil. No matter how much dawn and sponge I use, no amount of elbow grease can clean these pups up. Gradually, the pans turned from a perfectly gorgeous gray ceramic to a disgusting brown. Then the granite ceramic began to splinter. I've only ever used wooden spoons or silicone spatulas on it when cooking. A large piece broke off once (see photo). I thought it had food stuck to it and was scratching it. only to chip off more granite ceramics. Color indicators were originally a fun thing. But they have become a gimmick because they no longer work. They point out that the pots are always hot even if I just take them out of the cupboard. For example, both of these pans now indicate that they are hot. but none of them were on the hot stove after breakfast 12 hours ago. If you look at the rims of the pots you can see black in some places and everything down to shiny aluminum in other places. The same goes for small pots. I am very disappointed in these pans. I expected them to last years, not 17 months.
