I was skeptical about buying this product. I've heard a lot of good things and a lot of bad things about these gloves. I wash my car often, usually once a month. Clay takes time and that's my problem. I have little time. I tested this mitten on the hood after a thorough wash. I felt the paint with a nitrile glove and there was a fair amount of dirt on the paint. I painted over a small area until I was happy, then tried a glove next to it to compare them. I dipped the glove in a bucket of soapy water (the second bucket in the two-bucket method) and wrung it out on the hood. I rubbed the hood with a glove and it was just as good as clay except it took a lot less time and I didn't have to use clay grease. It took about a minute to lubricate the hood with a gloved hand. I will still use clay for trickier areas (lower sills, undersides of doors, behind the wheels, etc) because it's malleable and cheap, but a glove is used for everything. still. It is excellent!
