I know most people use this floor switch to drive faster. We use it to ensure the reliable operation of our passenger car. We run a hotel and use an E 350 from 1996 to transport people and goods. The 1996 Ford E 350 has a fault - the normal shifter sticks. Ford dealer keeps spares on the shelf for all '96 E 350 due to a recurring problem. The rest of the van is great. After replacing the stock shifter, the gearbox works perfectly and I expect the van to last a long time. It takes a little getting used to, but works great.
