I have several built in and hand held GPS navigators as well as a phone, an ipad and a laptop. This device is accurate, easy to read and easy to use with proper training. I would probably sway him from his ideal form for two reasons, but they're actually pretty minor. Speech recognition doesn't always recognize my voice, but only a few devices do. Second, the suction cup mount didn't work in my case, so I used a permanent base. This device allows you to plan a multi-stop trip and pick up at any programmed intermediate stop. It also inserts recommended breaks based on time/distance. It also has lifetime maps, traffic and the ability to remotely program with your phone.
