These filters are much more reliable in my Black & Decker dust bag than the one that comes in the kit. This one fell out every time you emptied the bin (which is why I needed it in the first place - the original was accidentally thrown in the trash along with the rest of the junk). However, this product stays in place so you don't have to worry about remembering to "catch" the filter when you empty the damn thing.
