We love the wide width of this kettle and the very loud whistle when the water reaches boiling point, both qualities we were specifically looking for. We don't like the "burn" on the outside (as seen in the photos) that develops quickly - perhaps at the waterline? This "burning" cannot be cleansed. It's also not caused by something we're cooking next to the kettle - we're removing the kettle from nearby burners while it's boiling. We don't overfill the kettle either - it rarely fills up with water for more than two cups of tea. So the discoloration is difficult to understand. So 5 stars for the size, style and whistle but actually only 3 for the burn.
