Sturdy and holds the phone firmly.
Overall the mount is excellent. I rode 2 miles on a muddy forest track, dropped my bike twice and the phone wouldn't budge. I was surprised at how well it held up. The question is long term. Cons: Takes up a lot of space on the steering wheel. The rubber feet on the bracket can be easily removed. I glued mine to increase the time before one fell off and was lost.
