Because of the whistle function and the beautiful red color I was willing to spend the money. It didn't whine on my first try and eventually boiled away, ruining the outer red color. I was also surprised that it cooked so quickly. HOWEVER, I wrote to the seller and found out the following: This beautiful kettle has a very quiet whistle and it must be remembered that the whistle depends on the steam produced during boiling, so pour enough water into it. In any case, this is NOT a kettle you can walk away from and hope you hear a whistle. Do not do that. As far as I know, the seller is absolutely reliable. See also my seller comments.
