Does not power ZOOM F8 directly from vmount battery.
When using a fully charged V-mount battery, this cable will not activate the Zoom F8. The battery voltage is too high because F8 is overloaded over 16V. A fully charged V mount can be north of 17V. Technically, of course, it COULD power the F8 with a more drained battery, but that's counterintuitive and unreliable. This cable requires a voltage regulator.
