We bought the ski harness for our 3.5 years old son to help with teaching him to ski. We started using it after he learned to balance and form a wedge on a tiny bunny slope. This was his first time on ski and the harness was a great teaching aid. It also allowed us to take him on longer green trails and help him control his speed, avoid other skiers, and stop him if necessary. The elasticity of the straps allows smooth control and are long enough to let our son balance on his own (straps relaxed) while we still can help him slow down or stop if needed. The marking on the straps made adjusting the length of both straps equally very quick and easy! The mesh sling for helmet storage was a great place for us to temporarily store the straps during magic carpet/chair lift rides. Very well thought out product! We just ordered the backpack version too, as he wants to cary his own backpack with strapped on skis just like the rest of us :-)
