Review on KitchenAid Coated Flat Beater: A Superior Tool for Effortless Mixing in the Kitchen by Jeff Bruno

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Attention: Spare parts and accessories for small household appliances

After ordering I found that the coated "metal" was lead. As? The health warning sticker in California made me wonder what the hell is so dangerous about a car designed to touch food. Why?!? I don't care if it's enameled. Tooth enamel will chip over time. I know because that's why I replaced the paddle with this one. My last one broke despite washing my hands; it just happens over time. However, I would have replaced it much sooner if I had been clearly advised that it was lead! I used this broken spatula to cook food for my family! If I had known that, I would never have bought a Kitchen Aid blender. I think they should be more explicit with this "little" detail about the material used. Notice how the other items clearly state what material they are made of: stainless steel bowl, polymer plastic, etc. I assume the company knows that activator coated lead just doesn't sell. :(
