Also, their customer service is second to none and they take it a step further by quickly emailing me that they would like to implement my review in their next production run. Thanks for updating my review with the latest model! Please read my old review below for more information on what used to happen to the old model. WHAT HAS CHANGED? Clamps or cable ties are required. The increased length allowed more flexibility where the tube could flex a little while still maintaining a strong connection. I was so impressed and feel like I'll never see an aquarium flood again! Check out the photos to see the difference! I can't express how much of a difference the increase in length has made, but it has made a huge difference! 1 STAR REVIEWS: I have read 1 star reviews that said the glass is weak and I think this is wrong. Any type of glass must be treated with great care. Of course, also if excessive force is used to connect the tube connector to the point where shaking occurs, then the glass is likely to crack or fracture under pressure. I highly recommend soaking the tube in a bucket of boiling water for about 15 minutes and covering the bucket with a thick towel. After that, the hoses are so soft that it takes a little effort to tighten the hoses, and as the hoses cool, the grip gets tighter. A tighter grip will not be so tight that it cannot be torn off. Finally, I was very surprised to read these 1 star reviews. ADDITIONAL NOTES: I was about to make a video but saw the photos were more accurate than a 1 minute sprawling video saying the same thing. Photos say more than 1000 words and show the difference between the new and old models. In addition, only 4 photos can quickly and easily make a purchase decision :)=========================== == OLD REVIEW === === ========================= I purchased this item on July 15, 2017 and will leave a review on August 30, 2017. Pros: + Very strong glass + Exceptionally good CO2 dissipation + Easy to clean Cons: - Short hose connection Note that when attaching the vinyl hose I strongly recommend purchasing CLIPS or zip ties as the inlet connection is too short which doesn't leave much leaves the right to be wrong. As a result, today, August 30, 2017, I came home to find that my living room was flooded due to the hose connecting to the bottom of the diffuser slipping. Luckily I have vinyl floors in my living room. The product is excellent but with one major downside, that's why I gave it 3/5 stars. Please note that when purchasing this product, purchase clamps or cable ties to tighten your hoses to avoid a disaster like the one that happened to me. If the company increases the length of the hose connector to make the hose hold up better I would repeat my review and give it 5/5 stars.
