Review on Black Vantec NexStar DX USB 3.0 External Enclosure for SATA Blu-Ray/CD/DVD Drive by David Nelson

I bought this unit for $20 to put in a slim SATA BD optical drive and I am very happy with it. The physical body is carefully machined aluminum with no machining marks. Anodized in matte black with a small subtle Vantec logo on the top. It appears to be fingerprint resistant, which is a plus for a portable case. The drive fits perfectly and the front panel tolerances are less than a millimeter. The kit includes four small rubber feet that fit nicely on the bottom. My drive performance was also great. Finally, the included USB cable is well built with durable connectors. If I had to criticize, I'd wish the one mini-screw on each side holding the disc breaks the sleek elegance of the case, but since the screws are black, that's the most trivial of the nits to choose from. Go ahead and buy it now. I will definitely consider Vantec first for future case purchases.
