Review on Tier1 Replacement Frigidaire PureSource2 Refrigerator by David Norwood

Please do not buy this filter. This is not an OEM part. I have since bought the original replacement filter (Frididaire PureSource 2) and compared to find out why the stage 1 filter didn't fit. The filters have a plastic strip between the water inlets, this strip engages 2 metal clips on the base of the water filter which secures the filter to the base and prevents it from being removed until you press the release button. The level 1 bar is about twice as thick. This has resulted in the filter not being pushed in properly and has now resulted in the metal retaining clips coming too far apart without holding the new OEM filter. Now I have to buy a new $72 filter base because of this peerless filter.
