I ordered this for my mom, since she is always cold. We put it in her business, which is about 750sq feet. Customers are usually opening the door to come in and go out pretty frequently. Well, we turned this thing on and boy did it heat up the office quickly and efficiently. I was very impressed with how it managed to heat up the entire space. We had to turn it off bc it worked so well. It's pretty quiet and out comes with a remote so that was handy. The remote is pretty small though, and I've already lost it. Lol. It seems like it would be OK around animals. I have two dogs but they don't really mess with things, so I don't know about dogs that like to be into everything. I definitely recommend this heater!
