Quality product at a good price.

This is my 2nd Mr Heater and they seem like quality products. My other heater is the 30,000 NG heater. If I had it to do over again I would have purchased the 30,000 instead of the anemic 20,000. The 20,000 is ok for a small room of let's say 300 sq ft., but if trying to go through a door opening into another room forget it. The 30,000 can be turned down pretty low and it heats a 300 sq ft room fast, but perhaps too warm for some.of course you can then just turn it to pilot. Strangely these…

Pros
  • Easy to install, great value!
Cons
  • be aware if it is not what you what or even damaged you are stuck with it.

Great Heater! Great features!

I bought this heater to replace a 10,000 btu Basic Kozy World heater. The Kozy World was over five years old and the igniter had been replaced twice. It kept shutting off and looked pretty sooted, so I bought this heater as an upgrade, mostly because it put out more btus. It had many more features that I didn't expect: broad temperature range rather than just high and low, thermostat that keeps your chosen temp relatively stable, high heat output, although I haven't used it past half way, so it

Pros
  • A very good heater
Cons
  • May present a fire hazard if not properly installed or maintained

Bought one that was a return. When it came I looked at it and everything seemed okay. Had it just over a year and went to install it. The 3/8" fitting had been crossthreaded prior to my receiving it! I had a 3/8" pipe thread tap and was able to rethread the fitting. Second heater from VMinnovation was like new. Checked the heater carefully for visible problems after a previously purchased heater had problem most people couldn't have fixed. I would buy from VMinnovatios again.

Pros
  • This is the first time that I have ever purchased a blue flame heater. I love it.
Cons
  • Produces harmful emissions and contributes to air pollution

Takes the edge off good for me

I got this to heat a garage, I see now it's supposed to be used in conjunction with a full-size furnace. Oh well. This will bring an uninsulated 1-car garage up from 30 to 50 in a couple of hours. It says it will heat up to 700 sq ft and the garage is maybe half that. I wouldn't want a smaller unit though. In the end, it does what it's there for, and once I get it insulated a little, maybe it won't have to work so hard.

Pros
  • Comes with a 1-year limited warranty
Cons
  • Can be heavy and challenging to move if needed

Does what it is suppose to do, heat the garage.

Revain Warehouse Buy. Couldn't be happier. The heater works very well for this SoCal Garage.normal 2 car garage, heats it up from 55 to 68 in about twenty minutes or so. Bought the fan that is opitional. Don't know if I would buy it though.it really doesn't move much air at all. Just pointing a normal fan at it would probably do a far better job. Anyway, works great, now I don't have to put on socks with my flip flops.Another happy Customer of Mr. Heater's.

Pros
  • Theromostat, legs and wall mounting hardware included
Cons
  • Can emit a significant amount of greenhouse gases throughout its lifetime

Really Puts Out the Heat

The Mr. Heater Vent-Free Blue Flame Heater really puts out the Heat. We usually don't have to set the dial above three; it goes up to five. My husband found it easy to install as we were replacing an older unit on the wall. W already had the gas line, but had to buy a connection kit with a shut-off valve. We did have to contact customer service initially because of loud banging noises that occurred with temperature changes within the unit. It took a couple of attempts and few days for customer…

Pros
  • Multi-size options accommodate different room sizes and heating needs
Cons
  • Can be dangerous for those with combustible materials in the same area

Good Quality, Not Great Without Venting

This is supposed to be usable without venting but even with a nearby door partially open the fumes gave us a headache. Works better sitting inside an empty fireplace with the flue at least partially open, but then much of the heat goes up the chimney.

Pros
  • Automatic low oxygen shut-off system (ODS). CSA Certified. Use - Supplemental heat in cold rooms, Additions, Sun rooms, Cabins
Cons
  • May damage or stain walls over time

Caution.Problem with these.Concerned for others.

I see I'm not the only one having a issue where the burner is doing this delayed ignition burning thing. You will get the smell of incomplete combustion as the flame will flutter at low setting . It doesn't happen immediately, but it is well explained in the other post. I bought two of these last year. I called within the warranty period about 4 times and spoke to the older and newly hired rep. I sent detailed video showing this condition and was told to try moving the thermostat and changing…

Pros
  • Has a limited thermostat which shuts off the flame when temp is reached
Cons
  • May not work during power outages if the thermostat requires electricity

test it test it test it

First off, I bought this to replace the Mr Heater 20k btu RADIANT heater, which I loved. In fact I love it so much I just bought a replacement pilot assembly to get it going again. This heater essentially works like a BBQ, just straight flames, which I would've been ok with had it worked. When I turned it on it'd fire up fine, bring the room up to set temp, and then back off to pilot. When the temp dropped and it went to come on the burners were doing this delayed ignition thing and then it…

Pros
  • The blue flame adds a cozy ambiance to any room
Cons
  • May require additional accessories to function correctly

The perfect portable heating unit

What a great little unit! I’m remodeling a house that currently has no working furnace. I connected this heater to the kitchen stove gas line, and it heats the whole house (approx. 1,100 sq. ft., single story). Now I’m able to do drywall and painting without any drying-time issues or delays. Most all the heat simply rises up and mixes with the house air, so the sides & rear of the unit are comfortable to work around. The front is warm, but you can aim that away from your current work area. No…

Pros
  • Space Heaters
Cons
  • Can create a dry indoor environment during extended use

A good value for the cost

The purchased this heater for my garage. Really easy to install and works well. I may need to add a fan to help distribute the heat.

Pros
  • Provides consistent and efficient heating for large spaces
Cons
  • May not work as efficiently in extremely cold temperatures

Revainrating 4 out of 5

took 2 tries, but very happy

the first one I received had bad inlet coupling threading at the regulator. The exchange went quickly and smoothly. If not for this problem 5 stars.I used their brand hook up kit and the install went very smoothly.

Pros
  • Compact size fits into smaller spaces, such as RVs and small apartments
Cons
  • Can be difficult to find replacement parts if needed

Nice product that is easy to use

Easy to assemble, easy to plumb in, and easy to use. Keeps my studio apartment as warm as I want on any day, much more effective and efficient than the electric baseboard heat.

Pros
  • So nice and comfortable. I set it and it comes on and off automatically according to temp.
Cons
  • High up-front cost compared to other heating options

Great Heater - my new review

I installed this 20,000 BTU unvented natural gas unit in my two car garage located in Michigan that I use for a woodworking shop. It works great! With outside temperatures in single digits, it maintains a 65 deg inside temperature on the #2 setting. I also installed a digital CO monitor that shows 0 PPM in my shop. I highly recommend this unit.

Pros
  • Provides an alternative heating source for homes without central heating systems
Cons
  • May not be the most eco-friendly heating option

Works great. best in my review

Heater works great. I use mine with a 25' 3/4" flexible hose designed for bbq grils. The heater should come with handles and instructions on top (see photo). Something noting that the dial controls the thermostat not gas flow and also instructions to press temp knob down while pressing ignition button to light pilot. Otherwise 5 stars.

Pros
  • Fast shipping. Great product, just as described.
Cons
  • Constant need to refill gas supply adds to ongoing costs

I was not sure about it at first because I have small grandkids and it was saying the outer surface got hot but as I have used it the outer surface is cool to the touch so I am very pleased with it. Easy to adjust temp. Easy to install.

Pros
  • Absolutely fantastic. Easy to install. Heats very well. Excellent price.
Cons
  • Can take up valuable living space in smaller rooms

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No metal banging when it shuts off

What I like about this is that the flame seems to always stay on low instead of shutting off making the metal cold and a cracking noise. Now the metal stays warm and when it comes on it stays quite

Pros
  • Heat output can be adjusted to your preferred temperature level
Cons
  • Blue flame can be too bright and harsh on eyes

Easy install and works perfectly

I was replacing an existing heater, and so I already had natural gas plumbed to the site. It took me about 1/2 hour to unpack the heater, attach the legs, and install the included AA battery for the pilot igniter. Then I discovered I was out of the yellow Teflon tape needed for gas threads. (Do NOT use the white tape for gas!) I went to the little store down the road and purchased a new roll of the yellow Teflon tape. Using this on the threads I installed the street el which came with the…

Pros
  • Great for emergency heating during power outages or winter storms
Cons
  • May not function reliably in high altitude areas

Revainrating 3 out of 5

be very careful when trying to use the silver elbow connector

attempted to carefully place the included silver connector to bottom of unit. would not thread properly at all. when trying to remove it, was extremely difficult to remove, completely destroyed the threads on the connector, (it was so damaged, it looked as if the threads had melted), and damaged the threads inside the bottom of the unit. attempted to clean threads in bottom of unit. will need to get different sized tap wrench and if that is not successful, will either have to have part replaced

Pros
  • Operating this heater at altitudes over 4,500 FT above sea level could cause pilot/ODS to shutdown the heater.
Cons
  • May not be allowed in certain buildings or areas due to safety concerns

Works great.: my feedback

It works great. We put the heater in the den that was added on to the house years ago. It keeps that part of the house nice a cozy now.

Pros
  • Blue flame burner for even convection heat. Thermostat for automatic temperature control
Cons
  • Requires regular cleaning to function optimally
