Review on Natural Gas Heater: Mr. Heater Vent-Free 20,000 BTU Blue Flame - Multi-Size Option by Darin Brooks

First off, I bought this to replace the Mr Heater 20k btu RADIANT heater, which I loved. In fact I love it so much I just bought a replacement pilot assembly to get it going again. This heater essentially works like a BBQ, just straight flames, which I would've been ok with had it worked. When I turned it on it'd fire up fine, bring the room up to set temp, and then back off to pilot. When the temp dropped and it went to come on the burners were doing this delayed ignition thing and then it would flare, sending flames out the front. I called Mr Heater and talked to Gary, who took me through some steps I could do to fix the issue: New single stage regulator, moving the thermostat, pilot reset, rand running it on high for a few minutes. He did mention that there had been issues with 2 stage regulators, so 20 bucks later and I was on a single stage. But nothing worked. Maybe I had a bad unit, maybe not.who knows but this thing was downright dangerous.
