This is my second purchase of this product (the first was damaged while moving house) and I love this little one. Perfect size for small projects to complete the leftovers of a few skeins. So far I've been making pumpkins and headbands as I haven't realized the full potential of this smaller knitting machine lol. "What's the difference between them other than they're half the size?" Here are the biggest differences I notice between them: There are no suction cups in this 22-needle machine. You think it won't be a problem since it's so small, right? puppy between shape and size, just be prepared to hold it in all sorts of awkward positions, so it doesn't slip. I'd recommend playing with different positions to see what works best for you - I find the best way to keep it for me is with the feeder/viewer looking slightly to the left rather than straight ahead so I then slide my whole hand through the base and hold it with the opposite sides. I feel like I have one hell of a chokehold, but it gives me better stability and also keeps the handle out of the way. - This one has NO counter. Luckily, I'm good with everything in my life, so I've resigned myself to just looking myself in the eye when I think it's time to stop spinning to complete a project. The tension on this machine seems to work better, or at least be more forgiving. I assume this is simply due to the size of the machine; fewer needles = less thread = less weight on the needles = fewer tension problems. But, honestly, if you've worked with any knitting machine, you know that 90% of your problems are tension related, so it's just area specific at this point.
